Newborn Photographer // Jacob (2 months)

...AKA the many faces of Jacob. Hehe, sweet baby Jacob is one of the most expressive newborns I've ever met. I think he can also claim the title for the most easy going newborn I've ever met, also. I stayed with Jacob and his Mama, Meredith (his Dad was out of town), for a few days while I was in Dallas...before heading up here to Alaska.

Jacob was kind enough to let us ladies have some girl time, but he sure stole the show with those big baby blues and pinch-able cheeks. He also stole my heart with a few deep stares and finger squeezes.

He's too much! I am already missing this sweet little buddy and I can't wait to visit him again soon.

"Working with Mallorie was wonderful! She captured the perfect moments and pure innocence of my sweet baby boy. Her work is beautiful and we will definitely use her talents again to capture more great pictures of my family. Thanks Mal for your passion for photography, it truly shows in your work." ≫≫ Meredith (Mother of sweet baby Jacob)

Wichita Wedding Photographer // Rupa and Edgar Sangeet

To say that I had a blast photographing Rupa and Edgar's Sangeet is the understatement of the century. This was hands down the coolest party I've ever been to, and I wasn't even a guest. I have never seen a dance floor so full of people dancing it up and having a ball, people of all ages. It was so much fun to watch and document this celebration for the couple that was wed the very next day.

For those who aren't familiar with Indian traditions, the Sangeet is a pre-wedding celebration where friends and family perform songs and dances for the bride and groom. This is followed by a (basically) full blown reception with dancing, the most amazing food, and lots of fun.

Congrats Rupa and Edgar! I'm so happy you chose me as your photographer for this event and I wish you both a lifetime full of happiness and laughter.

"Mallorie is absolutely phenomenal! My husband and I could not be more pleased with the photographs Mallorie shot at an event the evening before our wedding. She truly captured the essence of the evening through her photos, and we felt like we were reliving the evening while going through them. We were able to see how great she was at capturing the little moments that could have been easily overlooked. Thank you Mallorie for capturing memories that we will cherish forever! I highly recommend Mallorie Owens and Dreaming Willow Photography." ≫≫ Rupa Austria

Family Portrait Photographer // Inman Family

Back in May, while I was still in Wichita, I had the opportunity to take pictures for the very photogenic Inman family. Seriously though, I don't think this family had an awkward picture in the bunch. They even brought their sweet dog, Baxter, along for the fun! We were lucky that the usual crazy hot summer days were a bit delayed this year and the weather was nice and cool, at least for summertime in Kansas.

Not only is this family extremely adorable, but they're a lot of fun too. I think it really shows in some of the photos. I know I had a blast being their photographer and getting to know them a bit...

 ...so cute, am I right?

"We LOVED every part of this family photo session! Mallorie made a point of taking the stress away from family pictures. From the ease of scheduling & rescheduling (due to a severe weather outbreak), to providing assistance with outfits, finding the perfect outdoor location, getting a non-motivated family member (teenagers got to love them) to enjoy the experience, and getting an overly excited puppy to cooperate; Mallorie made it easy. I feel so blessed to have these wonderful photos of my family. Mallorie Owens made this an IDEAL experience from the beginning to the end! We will cherish these photos FOREVER!" ≫≫ Nikki Inman, Wichita, Kansas
